ShastaCAD is a division of Shasta Industries, Inc., based in Phoenix, Arizona. Shasta Industries has been a long-time industry leader in swimming pool design and construction as well as pool equipment manufacturing. In 1994, with the sale of over 400 pools in one month, there was an imminent need for a standardized computer drafting and swimming pool design program that could make Shasta sales and drafting teams more efficient and effective.

Shasta invested in some AutoCAD® software and began to customize a swimming pool design program. By the end of 1996, and after some minor revisions and several additions, ShastaCAD was introduced to the sales and design staff at Shasta Pools.

In 2004, Shasta Industries, Inc. became partners with Autodesk®, creators of AutoCAD software, allowing ShastaCAD to utilize high-end drafting and design features. Our development with AutoCAD tools has produced our latest version of ShastaCAD, 6.01.
